OpenAI's Help Center report on getting started with your dot says ChatGPT Dots roll out to Pro subscribers and Business Premium workspaces. ChatGPT's dots guide shows a standing agent you can message and pause. Neither page is a list of marketing jobs. A growth marketer who already has a Dot still has to decide which job to assign next. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing are that list.
I do not rank Dots. There is one product. I rank jobs, because the teams that get hurt are the ones that hand a Dot "run ads" and walk away. The test I use is short. A job is worth assigning when it recurs, reads, and waits. It recurs on a week you already have. It reads an app you connected. It waits for a person before anything is sent, posted, or spent. ChatGPT Dot ideas for marketing that fail any one of those three are still useful work. They are just not Dot jobs yet.
Best ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketers are not a ranking of products. There is one Dot product. The ranking is which use case you should hand it first. ChatGPT Dots use cases for marketing below each point at a channel post that already goes deep, so this page stays a list.
TL;DR
- ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing must recur, read a connected app, and wait.
- Each channel already has its own guide. This page links them. It does not replace them.
- Send, post, and spend fail the test even when the draft is good.
- Pick one job, run two Mondays, then add a second.
- Prompts are wording. Jobs are the assignment you keep.
- A growth marketer still approves the side effect.
Which ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing pass the test
OpenAI's DevDay demo is the clip I want a marketing lead to see before they assign anything. The Dot drafts a Slack reply and waits. It does not post the reply because the room was busy. That is the job shape. The rest of this list is the same shape pointed at marketing channels.
Start from the week you already run, not from a catalog of features. If you already read Search Console on Monday, that read can become a Dot job. If you have never looked at a channel, do not make the Dot your first teacher. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing pass when you could have done the read yourself and you want it prepared before you arrive.
Recurs means the same question comes back. A one-off naming session for a new product is a chat. A weekly note on which URL lost clicks is a job. Reads means the evidence lives in an app the Dot can see, such as Search Console, an inbox, or an ads account you connected on purpose. Waits means the output is a draft. The person still sends, publishes, and approves spend. Put the three together and you get the line you can reuse: a real job recurs, reads, and waits.
| Test | Passes | Fails |
|---|---|---|
| Recurs | Same brief every Monday | A question you will ask once |
| Reads | A connected app holds the row | A number the Dot invented |
| Waits | Draft, title, sequence file, ads note | Send, publish, or spend |
The table is the whole filter. If a candidate fails the last row, keep the research and move the side effect to a person or to an agent built for that side effect. Do not "fix" it by widening the allow rule after one good draft.
A growth marketer should write the failure down before the first run. If the draft cites a metric the plugin cannot see, reject it. If it offers to publish the URL, send the sequence, or change a bid, reject the action even when the sentences are sharp. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing stay trustworthy only when rejection is boring and repeatable. Taste is what you apply on the second Monday, after the boundary has held.
The setup walkthrough is how the Dot gets a name and a plugin. The how to use guide is the Monday once a job exists. This page is the menu you use when you are choosing which job that Monday should be. Custom Rules are where "waits" is stored, so a prompt does not have to carry the boundary alone.
ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing by channel
These are the jobs a growth marketer can assign now, because each one already has a full post. Read the row, then open the post before you write the assignment. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing in this table are drafts. The "still yours" column is the part the Dot does not finish.
| Job | What it reads | What it drafts | Still yours | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth scoreboard | GA4 or HubSpot | Monday note and one proposed test | The test you run | Growth |
| SEO | Search Console | Refresh brief and a title | The URL | SEO |
| AEO | Whether answers cite you | The passage you want cited | The page | AEO |
| Website growth | Search Console and GA4 | Decay queue and CRO notes | The change | Website growth |
| Content | Docs you connected | The post | Publish | Content |
| Klaviyo or the inbox | Flow copy | The send | ||
| Google Ads | The connected account | The change note | The spend | Google Ads |
| Meta Ads | The connected account | The change note | The spend | Meta Ads |
| Outbound research | Accounts you already may use | The brief | Enrolment | Outbound |
| Cold email | Prospect research | The sequence file | The send | Cold email |
| Profile and account notes | The note | The click |
The pattern across the rows is stable. Reading and drafting are the Dot. Shipping is the person. ChatGPT Dots use cases for marketing that look more ambitious than this, such as "run my channel," usually hide a send or a spend inside the verb. Split the verb until you can see the draft.
Growth, SEO, AEO, website, content, and email are the cleanest first jobs because the artifact is a document. Ads jobs are worth assigning only when you want a note you will approve, not a live edit. Outbound, cold email, and LinkedIn are worth assigning when the research repeats and the click stays human. If your team is an agency, the extra constraint is one client per set of rules, which the agency guide covers. That is a structure, not an extra job in the table.
ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing that still fail
Three verbs fail even when every other part of the test passes. Send fails. Post fails. Spend fails. A sequence file can be excellent and still must not leave. A caption can be ready and still must not go live from the Dot. A bid note can be right and still must not hit the account because Monday was busy.
Those failures have homes that are not a wider Dot rule. Publishing is a pipeline, which is what the content-led growth agent is for. Enrolment and replies are outbound automation. Live budget changes belong with a performance marketing agent that still waits for approval. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing include knowing the names of the jobs you will not assign.
If a stakeholder asks for a Dot that "just handles ads," translate the ask into the row. The Dot reads the account and drafts the change. A person approves the spend. Anything past that is a different system. The same translation works for email and for LinkedIn. The draft is in scope. The click is not.
How a growth marketer picks the next job
Do not assign the table. Assign one row. The first row should be a read you already do, with a source you can open, and a draft you can reject in ten minutes. Search Console is the usual first row because the evidence is a query and a URL, which are easy to check. Email and ads can be second, after you have seen the Dot respect a wait.
Run that one job for two Mondays before you add another. The first Monday teaches the boundary. The second Monday teaches whether the brief is one you would edit. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing compound only after that second Monday. Before it, a second job just gives you two drafts you do not trust.
Write the assignment in one sentence that names the source, the artifact, and the wait. "Each Monday, read Search Console, draft a refresh brief for one URL, and do not change the URL." That sentence is a job. "Help me grow" is not. If you cannot name the source, you are not ready to assign it, no matter how attractive the channel sounds in a meeting.
A growth marketer on a small team should also decide who reads the draft. One person. If three people can accept a send, the wait is fictional. Put the reader's name in the same note as the job. When that person is out, the job pauses. It does not get a substitute who has not rejected a draft before.
Agencies repeat the same pick per client. Do not share one Dot across brands and hope the prompt remembers the logo. One client, one set of rules, one reader. The job list stays the same. The login does not.
What the prompt library does not replace
You will still want words to paste. They belong in the prompts for marketing post, which already lists six jobs and the lines that go with them. ChatGPT Dot ideas for marketing are not the same object as those lines. An idea becomes a job when it recurs, reads, and waits. A prompt is how you say it once. If the prompt page is the library, this page is the shelf you choose from.
Best ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketers also are not a skills catalog. A skill is the reusable instruction the job calls. The skills list is its own page, and the skills directory is where the instructions live. Use a skill when the same brief shape should survive a new thread. Use a job when you want that shape to run next Monday without someone remembering to paste it.
The Dots guide remains the decision map for what a Dot can and cannot change. This list assumes you have already accepted that map. If a row here ever disagrees with that guide, the guide wins, because the boundary on send and spend was written there first.
A growth marketer who collects prompts and never assigns a job will have a folder of clever lines and an empty Monday. The lines do not recur by themselves. They do not read Search Console because you saved them. They do not wait, because a wait is a rule, not a sentence in a doc.
What compounds is a workflow with stable context: one source, one artifact, one person who approves, and a skill the agent can call again next week. Discovery of the job happened when you picked the row. Execution is the draft that shows up before the meeting. Those belong together, or the team retypes the brief forever.
Metaflow is where that marketing system already sits. The channel posts are the depth. The skills are the instructions. The agents publish, send, or spend only after a person says so. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing are the short list you assign. They are not a permission slip for the side effect.
Frequently Asked Questions
What ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing are worth assigning?
Assign a job that recurs, reads a connected app, and waits for a person. The channel table on this page is the current set, and each row links to a guide that goes further. A growth marketer should start with one row they already review by hand, usually a Search Console refresh, and leave the rest of the table for later.
Which marketing jobs should a Dot not finish?
It should not send, post, or spend. Those three fail the test even when the draft is strong. Metaflow keeps publish on a content pipeline, enrolment on outbound, and budget changes on a performance workflow that still requires approval. The Dot can prepare the note. It should not perform the side effect.
How do I choose the next Dot job?
Pick the read you already do, name the source and the artifact in one sentence, and run it for two Mondays before you add a second job. If you cannot open the source yourself, you are not ready to assign it. Metaflow's how-to-use page is the Monday routine. ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketing get worse when the second job arrives before the first draft has been rejected once.
Are ChatGPT Dot ideas for marketing the same as prompts?
No. An idea is a candidate job. A prompt is the wording for one ask. The prompts library holds the wording for six jobs. This page holds the wider list and the test. Best ChatGPT Dots jobs for marketers are the ones that recur and wait, not the ones with the cleverest line.
Can a Dot send, post, or spend on its own?
No. Send, post, and spend stay with a person. Metaflow's ads, email, and outbound guides all keep that split, and Custom Rules are where the wait is stored. A good Monday draft is not permission for the next step. Permission is the approval you give outside the thread.
