Grok Bot
for Marketing
Staff one bot per job, give it a skill and a routine, and let it change only the small reversible list — or keep the work in a chat. For a marketer who will write a job description, keep a shared log, and accept that new campaigns, large budget moves, conversion tracking, and anything a customer sees wait for a person. Leave if you want one generalist thread. Leave if you will not name the gate before the bot logs into an ad account. Leave to Metaflow when the job is a portfolio of accounts with an audit trail, not one bot’s memory.
Should one bot own marketing, or one bot per job?
A generalist bot mixes search-term negatives with Meta budgets and then forgets which channel it was in. Hire a lane.
| Job | Bot | Reads | Changes alone | Waits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Competitor research | Market Researcher | Public sites, ads, pricing | Nothing | — |
| Positioning and copy | Product Marketer | Docs, voice, research | Drafts in Drive | Live messaging |
| Paid | Performance Marketer | Ad accounts | The small list in the spine | The wait list |
| SEO and content | Website Ops | Search Console, repo, briefs | Sitemap, titles on pages that do not rank, edits off revenue pages | Any revenue page |
| AI search | AI Search Visibility | Buyer questions, AI answers | Nothing | — |
| Analytics | Marketing Analyst | Ads, GA4, Shopify, exports | Nothing | — |
| Ops | Project Manager | The other bots’ board | Handoffs and the morning note | Priority calls |
What is a skill, a routine, and a taught task?
The skill is the procedure. The routine is the clock. Teach-a-task is how a demonstration becomes a skill. None of the three is permission to spend.
| Mechanism | Does | Does not |
|---|---|---|
| Skill | Same thresholds, same output, every run. Reads on its own. | Move a budget, open a campaign, or send. |
| Routine | Runs on a schedule when you are not in the thread. Six to build first: rank monitor, paid waste scan, citation check, competitor content gap, social proof, weekly ops note. | Invent a result when the source is empty. Write the no-data case or the routine goes quiet. |
| Teach a task | Stores the demonstration as a skill. | Raise the gate in section 04. |
Which marketplace bot matches the job?
Install the bot whose reads match one job. Do not install the category.
| Bot | Owns | Does not | Live evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO & AEO Desk | Keyword or Search Console → brief | Publish | Marketplace post and Grok Bot for SEO |
| Site Audit | Technical crawl | A content strategy | No live post. |
| AI Search Visibility | Whether answers cite you | The rewrite | AI search visibility |
| Copy Humanizer | Drafts that sound like a person | The brief | Content |
| Distro Bot | Research through a drafted campaign | Spend, post, send | Marketplace post. Stricter than section 04. |
| Project Manager | The other bots | The ad account | Team setup post |
What may a bot change while you are away?
The spine’s short list may run. The wait list may not. Distro Bot does not use the short list.
| Change | Runs alone | Waits |
|---|---|---|
| Negative, $20+ / 0 conv / 30 days, not brand, not a prior converter | Yes | — |
| Pause Meta ad, 72h+, 3× CPA, zero signups | Yes | — |
| Winning ad set, ≤20%, once a day | Yes | Over 20%, or a second raise the same day |
| Sitemap resubmit, title on a page with no rankings | Yes | A page that makes money |
| New creative | Upload paused | Enable |
| New campaign, conversion tracking, a send, a post | — | Always |
| Pause of anything that spent >$1,000 in 7 days | — | Always |
Analytics is read-only. The analytics post’s argument is a warehouse, not another API key, and no write access.
One channel leaves to Google Ads agents or Meta Ads agents. The book leaves to performance marketing agents in the Metaflow app.
What can Grok Bot not do?
The bot does not post or send to customers, does not open a new campaign, and does not edit conversion tracking or a page that makes money.
Checklist
- Not a single chat for every channel.
- Not a raise of the spend gate via a skill, a routine, or teach-a-task.
- Not a publisher of ads, email, or customer messages.
- Not Distro Bot silently applying the 20% rule.
- Not Project Manager inside the ad account.
- Not Site Audit as a content program.
- Not a substitute for a governed multi-account book. That exit is performance marketing, linked once in section 04.

FAQ
Only a winning ad set, at most 20%, once that day. Over 20% waits. Distro Bot does not get even that.
No. One bot, one job, then a second when the first still works next week.
The file can be the same shape. The gate in section 04 is what makes it a Grok Bot job. Claude skills do not hold this gate. That comparison post is not live.
Key takeaways
- One bot, one job, one log.
- Skill, routine, teach-a-task. The gate stays put.
- Small reversible list, or it waits.
- Stricter bot wins when two gates disagree.
